5th East India Karate Championship Achieves Grand Success Under the Visionary Leadership of Hanshi Premjit Sen

The 5th East India Karate Championship concluded with resounding success at the Utkal Karate School, Bhubaneswar, from 31st October to 2nd November 2025, marking another historic milestone in the promotion and development of Karate in Eastern India.

The prestigious championship witnessed participation from five states — West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, and Andaman & Nicobar Islands — showcasing regional unity, discipline, and true martial spirit.

Under the visionary leadership and guidance of Hanshi Premjit Sen, President of the East India Karate Association, the championship was conducted with international standards of organization, technical supervision, and officiating. Hanshi Sen’s dynamic leadership, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence elevated the championship to one of the finest Karate events in the region’s history.

The event reached new heights with the participation of several International Champions, who displayed world-class skill and sportsmanship. All international players, along with the referees and judges, were felicitated for their outstanding contribution to the sport and for upholding the highest standards of competition and integrity.

The tournament was officiated under Asian Karate Federation (AKF) and World Karate Federation (WKF) standards, ensuring top-tier fairness, professionalism, and technical accuracy throughout.

A Referee Seminar was also successfully conducted during the championship, further strengthening the technical expertise and knowledge of participating referees and coaches.

Heartfelt appreciation was extended to the Odisha Karate Association for their exceptional effort and flawless organization. Special gratitude was conveyed to Mr. Hari Prasad Patnayak (President) and Ms. Goury Mohanti (General Secretary) for their dedicated coordination and warm hospitality.

The championship was further graced by the esteemed presence of Mr. Samir Kumar Mahanty, President of the Odisha Olympic Association, whose encouragement and guidance added immense prestige to the event.
