Mohammad Saqib on Building Construction in Uttarakhand’s Hilly Regions

Civil Engineer Mohammad Saqib, founder of AAA Constructions, has been involved in residential, commercial and civil construction projects across Uttarakhand’s Kumaon region, where challenging terrain often requires careful planning and specialised construction practices.

Building construction in the hill areas of Uttarakhand involves several factors that are different from conventional construction on level ground. Retaining walls and other slope-support structures are also commonly required in hilly construction. Saqib highlights the importance of proper drainage and water management around such structures, as uncontrolled water accumulation can affect their performance.
